"the lice mother" (2019)
‘The Lice Mother’ is a Flemish remake of the succesful Dutch comedy series that takes place in a very recognizable setting: the world of elementary schools.
Each one of us went to school at one point of his life, has children that are in school or is still going to school right now.
The elementary school arena is the ideal reflection of the current world where too many rules or sketchy conventions prevail and where adults behave like children and vice versa.
The behaviour of the parents, staff and kids in ‘The Lice Mother’ shows, often in a hilarious, satiric and sometimes painful way, how important themes and small mindedness are interlaced with each other.
